Believe it or not, golf is considered a sport. Just as with any sport, there is a great deal of learning, practicing, and time spent playing the game. The game of golf can be complex, but at the same time it can be very fulfilling with the aide of some good golf lessons.
The next best advice to beginning golf is to practice, practice, practice. A good rule of thumb is to double the amount of time practicing compared to a golf lesson. For instance, if you had a golf lesson that lasted for an hour, practice at least two hours.
At your golf lesson is where you will be introduced to a new technique. golf-shoe
Golf Shoes are a very important part of your success as a golfer, we all spend hours choosing clubs, and five minutes choosing Golf Shoes. Like me you probably haven’t given much thought to the part that golf shoes play in reducing your handicap. What follows are a few guidelines you should follow when choosing golf shoes
- 1. Always wear the same socks you golf in when trying on new golf shoes
- 2. Check the fir of the shoes by standing on one foot. You should be able to wiggle your toes, and when you stand on tiptoe the shoes should bend where your foot bends.
- 3. The fit around the middle of the shoe should feel tighter than with ordinary shoes.
- 4. Loose fitting shoes cause your feet to slide when you swing the club, and you lose stability, essential for good golf.
- 5. If the shoe fits all the above criteria, but is a little loose, then use an insole to make the fit a little tighter
Remembering we all have one foot larger than the other, so you need to pick the shoe size of your larger foot when trying on a golf shoe. · Waterproof shoes are more expensive, but essential if you play in wet and muddy conditions.
· Synthetic leather golf shoes should be avoided if possible because they are not waterproof, and as they won’t allow your feet to breathe, they quickly become smelly.
· Leather outsoles are found with more expensive shoes, and they do give a more supportive fit, because leather adjusts to the shape of your foot.

golf-ball
Just like choosing the right golf clubs, picking the correct ball for you is just a matter of matching the different types of balls with your swing and how you play golf. Golf balls are all the same, aren’t they? Have you ever taken a really close look at a golf ball? To get the best out of your game and your golf ball, you need to match each section of the golf ball with your level of skill and style,
First off, you need to chose the correct golf ball compression. The compression is the measurement of how tightly wound the ball is. Depending on your swing speed, depends on how the compression comes into play. If you’re swing speed is quite slow, then you will want a lower compression.
The first group is the 80 compression golf balls. The next group is the 90 compression rating golf balls. The final group is the 100 compression rating golf balls. Fast swing speeds are needed for top performance due to these being the hardest balls.
These type of balls are most popular amongest the low handicap and scratch players due to the faster swing speeds and the higher level of control.
Of course the only real way for you to know which is the best fit golf ball compression for your game is to do your own golf ball comparison.

golf-swing
It’s difficult for a golfer to practice hitting shots longer than short pitch shots unless one pays to play golf or pays to practice at a driving range or indoor golf training facility. Putts and short chips are ideally played without much movement of the body, but most other golf shots are played using variants of the full golf swing. Trust your golf club to do the job it was intended to do.
Many golfers who are strongly left-handed in their daily life prefer the right-handed golf swing. Swing slowly and steadily using a nice rhythm. Golf workouts will change your game forever. Conditioning your golf muscles will reward you with straighter swings. Golf aids are often for sale at your pro shop or local golf shop.
There are a number of good golf swing aids on the market today. Sporting goods stores have aids to improve your game.
Golf swing aids can be found online and are often cheaper. Aids come in all shapes and sizes including apparel type accessories to correct alignment or a golf club add-on accessory to monitor your swing. Look for golf swing aids at your local golf course.
There are aids that will help you with swing alignment. Ask an expert, who is not associated with the shop you would buy your golf swing aid from, for advice on the right aid for you.
If you apply both physical and mental workouts, golf swing improvement will be your reward. When you play a round of golf, concentrate on improving your golf swing, putting or something specific that day; have a plan in mind. Invest in a few of the newest golf books and golf ebooks; older golf books may be outdated.

Golf fitness stretching and corollary golf exercises are an easy way to improve your golf swing. The utilization of golf exercises within a golf fitness program can enhance many aspects of the golf swing and your golf game.
The amateur golfer can improve their ability to execute the golf swing, complete a full shoulder turn, generate more clubhead speed, and hit more accurate shots with improved flexibility. The process an amateur golfer can improve their flexibility is through golf stretches.
Flexibility refers to range of motion. Increased flexibility is the benefit of stretching. These benefits occur through the elongation (i.e. stretching) of soft tissues (muscles, tendons, ligaments). Golf stretches (i.e. elongating) these muscles alleviates these muscles alleviates these restrictions allowing for the ranges of motion required of the golf swing to develop.
Because the golf swing requires a large range of motion from multiple joints (ankle, hip, thoracic spine, and shoulder), I suggest performing a series of flexibility exercises for the entire body. Many golfers will find “tightness” in the hamstrings, hips, lower, and upper back causing restrictions in their joint range of motions as well as golf swing.
Guidelines to golf stretches are quite simple. In addition to performing golf stretches multiple times per week each exercise should be take each target muscle passively to the point of “tension” and holding the stretch for 30 seconds.
The placement of golf fitness stretches in a golf training program is one step to improvement in your golf swing. If your body lacks the flexibility to perform this requirement of the golf swing, the ability to execute and efficient golf swing will be compromised.
